EY General Counsel Ron Hauben Jumps to Gibson Dunn in New York

Ernst & Young General Counsel Ron Hauben has left the accountancy to join Gibson Dunn’s New York office in a new group aimed at advising accounting companies.

Hauben, who had served as Americas vice chair and general counsel at EY since 2014, will provide regulatory advice and litigation services to accounting firms in all aspects of their work, Gibson Dunn said Monday. He will serve as co-chair of the firm’s newly formed accounting firm advisory and defense practice group.

At EY, Hauben led a legal team of more than 200 professionals and was responsible for handling corporate, litigation and regulatory matters, according to the announcement.
