Two Ernst & Young LLP audit partners have agreed to penalties and professional sanctions to settle regulator charges that they failed to question a software provider’s accounting for significant transactions that were later part of a multiyear restatement.
Alison Yablonowitz, who has since left the firm, agreed to a one-year professional suspension and a $25,000 penalty, and Shawn Rogers agreed to a $10,000 penalty and a censure, according to an enforcement settlement the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board released late Wednesday. Both will be required to take remedial training.
