EY to Double Size of U.K. Consulting Arm to 10,000 People

Ernst and Young LLP will double the size of its U.K. consulting arm to employ more than 10,000 people by 2026, the Big Four accounting firm said Tuesday.

EY said that it wants to meet the demand for technology-driven advice from companies emerging from the pandemic and grappling with other big changes, such as Brexit. Headcount at its U.K. and Ireland consulting arm will increase from 5,100 to around 10,200 by 2026, with more than half of the new hires based outside of London in cities including Manchester and Edinburgh, it said.
