EY UK Announces Additional Job Cut as Advisory Demand Wobbles

Ernst & Young said Wednesday that it was making 24 people in its UK legal advisory arm redundant after a fall in demand for the unit’s services.

The jobs being cut are in the Big Four accounting and advisory firm’s group focused on legal consulting for businesses in the UK’s financial services industry. EY didn’t say how many people were employed in the particular division shedding jobs, but said there are more than 290 people in EY Law UK.
