EY’s New Audit Chief Aims to Meet Clients’ Digital Needs

Rolling out new technology to make audits more effective and efficient for clients is at the top of the to-do list for Ernst & Young LLP’s new audit practice leader.

John King has been named EY Americas’ vice chair for assurance, succeeding Frank Mahoney, who will oversee the firm’s Western region, EY announced Aug. 5.

For the last three years, King was assurance managing partner for the firm’s Southwest region, based in Houston. He took the new position July 1, overseeing a practice of 20,000 audit and accounting professionals.
