Global Accounting Board Chair Barckow to Leave After First Term

The International Accounting Standards Board’s chair, Andreas Barckow, is leaving his role in June 2026 after five years amid spending and board cuts.

The IASB’s parent, the IFRS Foundation, said in a press release Thursday that it hired a recruitment firm to look for a replacement for Barckow, who will leave at the end of his first term in office. The IASB declined to give details on why he is leaving.
