The International Accounting Standards Board has seen its number of active projects plunge over the past year amid a funding crunch and delays in setting future plans.
The global standard setter said during a meeting Thursday that it had 13 active projects in August, down from 19 a year earlier. The board’s funding fell by £1 million to £41 million ($57.4 million) in 2024, and has been falling steadily since the 2021 launch of its sister body, the International Sustainability Standards Board.
