The International Sustainability Standards Board plans to change its draft reporting standards after feedback highlighted complaints about vague phrasing and a too-heavy workload for smaller firms.
In their first-ever formal vote Wednesday, the 10 ISSB members present agreed unanimously to look again at parts of the two draft standards the board released in March, covering climate and general sustainability disclosures. Feedback suggested companies were worried about a range of issues, including the failure to define some key terms exactly, the breadth of sustainability reporting required, and the amount of detail required in reporting greenhouse gas emissions.
