Grant Thornton, Mazars U.K. Revenue Gains on Audit Surge

Second-tier U.K. accounting firms are seeing a surge in revenue as Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government tries to break the dominance of the Big Four over large company business.

Grant Thornton LLP and Mazars LLP both reported healthy increases in audit revenue in fiscal year 2021. Grant Thornton said Tuesday that its U.K. audit revenue surged 14% over the year to 158 million pounds ($207 million). Mazars reported Monday that its audit revenue grew 25% to £98.4 million.
