Distressed Singapore firm Hyflux has filed a pre-emptive claim against its former statutory auditor KPMG over an alleged breach of contract, reports The Business Times.
- Hyflux, together with 35 local and foreign units, filed a writ of summons against KPMG in Singapore’s High Court on Mar 28., according to a cause book search by the newspaper
- Document says auditor should compensate them, with the quantum to be assessed but including the dividends paid out by the water-treatment company to shareholders between 2010 and 2018
- Hyflux is currently in compulsory liquidation
