Intel Hires New Top Accountant From Oracle

Intel Corporation has appointed Scott Gawel as corporate vice president and chief accounting officer. Gawel will serve as the chipmaker’s top accountant starting on July 6, according to a Form 8-K the company filed this week with the Securities and Exchanges Commission.

• Gawel, 51, will have a salary of $475,000 and will be eligible for an annual incentive cash bonus with a target amount of $475,000.
• He joins Intel from Oracle Corporation, where he was most recently senior vice president and corporate controller.
