President Donald Trump’s pick to be the IRS’s top lawyer told Senate Finance Committee staff that a former longtime agency employee should be “shot” for his resignation during the tax-filing season, the panel’s top Democrat said during Donald Korb’s confirmation hearing Wednesday.
