Japan has agreed to include new global sustainability rules in its own national reporting requirements, the International Sustainability Standards Board said Thursday.
Reporting on a Monday meeting with the Sustainability Standards Board of Japan, the ISSB said the Japanese national standard setter had set out the timeline to write its own sustainability reporting rules. These would incorporate the ISSB’s standards and draft rules would be published next year.
