KPMG Accused in Suit of Misstating Qatar, Battersea Projects (1)

KPMG LLP was accused of not even trying to defend its alleged “negligent and misleading” audit work by the administrators of defunct UK contractor Carillion Plc. in a £1.3 billion ($1.6 billion) lawsuit.

The UK’s Official Receiver, acting on behalf of Carillion’s creditors, accused KPMG of failing to respond to allegations that it did not properly audit 20 major construction contacts, according to court documents filed Friday.
