KPMG is the latest Big Four accounting, tax, and consulting firm to face an ethics scandal that threatens the work of its Australian affiliate and the global firm’s reputation.
In allegations that surfaced in March, a whistleblower accused senior leaders at KPMG Australia of misusing confidential client information to help secure audit work. The claims are the subject of an Australian parliamentary hearing Friday and a Department of Finance investigation.
