KPMG Gives U.K. Staff up to $4,900 Bonus as it Chases Expansion

KPMG LLP is giving its U.K. staff a one-time bonus worth up to 4,000 pounds ($4,900) as it tries to retain skilled workers in the face of an expansion drive.

The firm said Friday that its 15,800 staff, excluding partners, would be given a flat pay increase of 2,000 pounds or 4,000 pounds, depending on seniority. The raise is backdated to April 1 and is in addition to normal annual pay increases.
