KPMG Hires Grant Thornton’s Diane Swonk as Chief Economist

KPMG LLP hired Diane Swonk from Grant Thornton LLP as its chief economist, adding a longtime watcher of the Federal Reserve and one of the most prominent female economists covering the US economy at a time when investors are closely monitoring the central bank’s moves.

Swonk previously worked as a consultant and at Mesirow Financial before joining Grant Thornton as chief economist in 2018. She also serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce economic advisory board and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
