Latch Audit Investigation Expands as Ex-SPAC Finds More Errors

Smart lock startup Latch Inc. disclosed Thursday an expansion of an internal audit committee probe that has revealed errors in two more years worth of financial statements.

The company, which went public via merger with a special purpose acquisition company in June 2021, has not determined the impact of the 2019 and 2020 errors, but said it cannot guarantee they won’t be material, the company said in a securities filing alerting the market that it wouldn’t make the deadline to file its third-quarter 10-Q.
