Liberty Tax hopes to convert many of its 200,000 small business tax-season customers into year-round bookkeeping clients, possibly doubling its revenue.
The company, with 2,700 owned and franchised locations in the U.S. and Canada, is set to launch a bookkeeping and business advisory service this fall, an expansion that will target independent business owners from part-time landscapers to rideshare drivers. More service offerings, including consumer and business lending, are in the works.
