Two companies failed to convince the Michigan high court Monday to review their cases over how to handle assets bought while one tax regime was in effect but sold under two laws that replaced it.
“We are not persuaded that the questions presented should be reviewed by this court,” the Michigan Supreme Court said in a pair of orders denying petitions for review filed by Michigan Bell Telephone Co. and Republic Services of Michigan.
