NatWest to Hold Audit Tender After More Than Six Years of EY

NatWest Group Plc is planning to hold a tender process for its external auditor, a role that has been filled by Ernst & Young for the past six-and-a-half years.

The process -- in line with the requirements of the UK Corporate Governance Code -- will be overseen by NatWest’s Group Audit Committee and is expected to conclude later this year, Jan Cargill, chief governance officer and company secretary, said in a statement. Shareholders will be asked to approve the chosen auditor at the appropriate annual general meeting.
