The Nevada Supreme Court has named its commission to develop rules for a dedicated business court that could help lure more Delaware corporations to the Silver State.
The commission is part of a plan initiated by Chief Justice Douglas Herndon, who aims to have the new court operating within a year.
Nevada and Texas, which launched new business courts last year, are aggressively attempting to pull corporate business away from Delaware, long the nation’s primary corporate residence, and its preeminent Chancery Court with promises of a more hospitable legal landscape.
