Global standard setters formally agreed to write new rules for corporate disclosures on nature-related financial risks.
The International Sustainability Standards Board voted unanimously Wednesday to launch standard setting for biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecosystem services. The board had decided to move forward on the rules in November but the project required a formal vote to proceed.
This will be the second set of detailed sustainability rules to be written by the board, following climate reporting rules published in 2023. The nature standards will take a broad view of the subject and will draw on existing voluntary rules from the likes of ...
