New Top Lawyer Named in SEC Chief Accountant Office

The SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant will have a new legal steward to help it navigate enforcement cases and oversight of accounting and auditing standard setting.

Natasha Guinan, a veteran securities and audit regulator attorney, has been named chief counsel in the Office of the Chief Accountant, the Securities and Exchange Commission announced Monday.

  • Guinan previously worked for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board as senior counsel in the regulator’s Division of Enforcement. She has also worked as senior counsel to the SEC’s enforcement division and focused on legal policy in the Office of General Counsel. She ...
