UK mid-sized firms have continued to increase their share of big listed company audits over recent years, although they remain locked out of the very largest audits, according to a new report.
Adviser Rankings Ltd. said Monday that mid-sized firms had increased their share of the audit market for companies listed on the FTSE 250 stock index by one-third over the past three years. However, 83% of those companies are still audited by the Big Four accounting firms—
