Pandemic Takes Toll on Women’s Work-Life Balance, Deloitte Says

U.K. women have struggled to balance work with household chores during the pandemic, and a quarter of them are thinking of giving up work completely, according to a study published Wednesday by Deloitte LLP.

The number of women reporting a good work-life balance halved to less than one-third during the pandemic, Deloitte said, with many voicing concerns over deteriorating mental health. Like many big U.K. accounting firms, Deloitte is increasingly allowing staff to choose where they work after the pandemic.
