PwC Canada agreed to pay $750,000 to settle U.S. audit regulator charges after discovering that more than 1,200 of the firm’s professionals shared or received answers to internal training tests.
Answers were shared in conversation and by email and were stored on shared drives on the firm’s computer network. Staff at all levels, including directors and partners, shared or received answers to the online testing from 2016 to early 2020, according to a settlement order the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board released Friday.
