PwC Taps Former SEC Commissioner Paredes for Director Spot

PwC LLP added a third independent director to its governing board and announced the creation of an advisory group to help bolster audit quality.

PwC Chairman Tim Ryan said in a Feb. 28 statement that the addition of former SEC Commissioner Troy Paredes to the firm’s board of directors would further governance related to financial reporting and auditing. Paredes joins former Kellogg Co. CEO Carlos Gutierrez and retired Navy Vice Admiral Carol Pottenger, who were named to the U.S. firm’s board of directors in 2017.
