Russian Gold Mining Giant Polymetal Loses Deloitte as Auditor

Deloitte LLP has resigned as auditor of Polymetal, a London-listed gold and silver mining company with operations in Russia, after the Big Four accounting firm separated from its Russian arm.

Polymetal International Plc said Friday that Deloitte had resigned because its Russian and Belarussian firms had left the global network in March after the Ukraine invasion, and the majority of Polymetal’s assets are in Russia. Deloitte declined to comment.
