SEC Drops Case Against Former CFO of ‘Smart Window’ Maker View

A former executive of “smart window” manufacturer View Inc. won’t have to contend with an SEC enforcement action alleging he used erroneous accounting practices to report the costs of fixing defective windows.

The Securities and Exchange Commission chose to toss the suit, citing its “discretion and based on the facts and circumstances of this case and its ongoing review of the evidence” against former View CFO Vidul Prakash, according to a Feb. 27 filing in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
