The SEC named Sagar Teotia as acting chief accountant following the departure of Chief Accountant Wesley Bricker, both announced by the regulatory agency on May 30.
Bricker was named Securities and Exchange Commission chief accountant in 2016; Teotia, who joined SEC in 2017 from Deloitte LLP, has served as deputy chief accountant.
Bricker didn’t immediately comment on where he was going next.
