Wall Street regulators are making good on promises that they will press companies to reveal details about how inflation is affecting their financial outlook and current operations.
The US Securities and Exchange Commission has zoomed in on inflation risk details in the financial filings of at least three companies and asked them to elaborate on the risks in future reports, according to letters the agency released this week. The SEC prodded the companies to share in their next reports whether inflation has affected sales, profits, and liquidity and whether they had to make plans to ease the impacts.
