SEC Seeks CPA Candidates to Fill US Audit Board Seat (1)

The Securities and Exchange Commission is looking for accountants to fill a seat on the US audit board as the final term for a former acting chair expires later this year.

Duane DesParte, one of two accountant members of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and the only holdover from the Trump administration, will wrap up his second term in October. He helmed the regulator as acting chair in 2020 amid an overhaul in the board’s leadership.
