Shake Shack Finds More Accounting Errors, Misses 10-K Deadline

Burger chain Shake Shack Inc. missed the Monday deadline to file its 10-K after uncovering more errors tied to a previously disclosed miscalculation of deferred tax assets.

The New York-based company will file its annual financial statement within a 15-day grace period allowed by regulators, the company said in a securities filing. The errors won’t impact the company’s previously reported income, Shake Shack said.

Shake Shack on Feb. 15 said it would have to restate, or fix, its fiscal 2021 and 2022 financial statements to correct how it tallied deferred tax assets due to incorrectly accounting for state tax depreciation. ...
