The leaders of six of the largest U.S. accounting firms and the profession’s main association issued an open letter reaffirming their commitment to audit quality.
The letter, released July 25 on several of the individuals’ public LinkedIn pages, arrives amid audit scandals that have embroiled the firms’ U.K. affiliates and issues about audit quality in the U.S.
The letter was addressed to recent college graduates joining the firms to assure them of the profession’s integrity.
