Economic uncertainty stemming from US trade policy and government spending cuts is taking a toll on accountants’ confidence, new survey results show.
Accountants globally are at their least confident since the summer of 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in North America, according to a survey released Thursday by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Institute of Management Accountants. Accountants in Europe and Asia are less gloomy, their survey showed.
