The International Sustainability Standards Board on Thursday named Emmanuel Faber, who was integral to French food company Danone’s transformation into a company with a social and environmental mission, as its first chairman.
The IFRS Foundation, parent of both the ISSB and the International Accounting Standards Board, said Faber will start a three-year term as ISSB chair Jan. 1. The ISSB was formed in November to set the first binding international rules for sustainability reporting.
