U.S. Audit Board Aims for Advisory Groups to Meet in Spring (1)

The U.S. audit regulatory board, under new leadership, is proposing reconstituted advisory groups to establish “robust dialogue” with investors and other stakeholders.

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board said Monday that it wants feedback on its plan to establish an 18-member panel of investors and a second, 24-member group focused on standards and other emerging audit quality issues. The groups would meet publicly, at least twice a year, beginning as soon as this spring. The board also is seeking nominees for the panels.
