UK accounting qualifications are still not recognized in most of Europe four years after Brexit, the government said Tuesday.
Professional accountants can’t audit companies elsewhere in Europe unless their qualifications are recognized by a national regulator, the UK government warned in an update for businesses selling services to countries in the European Union and other countries that aren’t part of the bloc but participate in the EU’s single market. That includes Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.
