The UK government released draft environmental, social, and governance reporting rules for public comment Wednesday as it gears up to effectively adopt global standards.
UK Sustainability Reporting Standards are closely based on climate and general sustainability reporting rules from the International Sustainability Standards Board. The ISSB said in an emailed statement that the UK standards as they stand are “functionally aligned” with its own, meaning UK firms would generally report the same things as they would under the international rules.
