USPS Beats Christian Worker’s Suit Over Sunday Amazon Deliveries

The US Postal Service showed that accommodating a religious letter carrier’s request not to have to work Sunday delivering packages for Amazon.com Inc. was an undue hardship, and the agency was properly granted judgment in the case, a divided Third Circuit ruled Wednesday.

The ruling clarified what makes a religious accommodation acceptable under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
