The cities of Half Moon Bay and Hayward, California, announced minimum wage rates effective Jan. 1, 2026, on their websites.
The hourly minimum wage will rise to $17.91 from $17.47 in Half Moon Bay, according to the city’s website.
The minimum wage in Hayward will rise to $17.79 for employers with at least 26 employees and to $16.90 for those with up to 25 employees, according to the city’s website. The city released a 2026 official bulletin in English and Spanish. The bulletin must be posted where employees can easily read it.
