2 California Cities Announce Minimum Wage Rates for 2026

San Diego and Santa Clara, California, announced minimum wage rates effective Jan. 1, 2026, on their websites.

The hourly minimum wage will rise to $17.75 from $17.25 in San Diego and to $18.70 from $18.20 in Santa Clara.

San Diego also released an updated minimum wage notice to reflect the increase. The notice is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

Santa Clara intends to release its 2026 minimum wage posters on Nov. 1, according to the website.
