2 Chinese Jurisdictions Increase Minimum Wages

Two Chinese jurisdictions have increased their minimum wages since Jan. 1, 2024, according to an April 3 chart (Chinese) from the country’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

In Jiangxi, monthly minimum wages for full-time workers effective April 1 range from 1,740 yuan (US$240.57) to 2,000 yuan, up from 1,610 to 1,850 yuan, its government said (Chinese). Hourly minimum wages for part-time workers increased to 17.4 to 20 yuan, up from 16.1 to 18.5 yuan.

In the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, monthly minimum wages effective March 1 are 1,900 or 2,050 yuan, up from 1,750 or 1,950 yuan, and ...
