Canal Fulton and New Lebanon, Ohio, are joining the Regional Income Tax Agency for administration of their local taxes effective Oct. 1, the towns announced.
RITA is an Ohio agency that collects income tax for participating municipalities in the state.
The income tax rate is 2% in Canal Fulton and 1% in New Lebanon, according to their websites.
Canal Fulton and New Lebanon are the latest municipalities to join RITA, with 18 others having joined earlier this year, according to the agency’s website.
