Instructions for the 2021 Form 940, Employer’s Annual Federal Unemployment (FUTA) Tax Return, were released Dec. 2 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The instructions reaffirmed that the U.S. Virgin Islands is to be the only jurisdiction assessed a federal unemployment tax credit reduction for 2021, which was announced Nov. 10 by the Labor Department.
