2023 Contribution Limits to Rise for Health Savings Accounts

The 2023 annual tax-free contribution limits for health savings accounts are to rise by $200 for self-only coverage and $450 for family coverage, the Internal Revenue Service said April 29.

The annual limit on deductions for an individual with self-only coverage under a high-deductible health plan is to be $3,850, up from $3,650, the IRS said in Revenue Procedure 2022-24.

The annual limitation on deductions for an individual with family coverage under a high-deductible health plan is to be $7,750, up from $7,300.
