The Chinese city of Shanghai’s monthly and hourly minimum wages, as well as those of two other jurisdictions, increased either July 1 or May 1, according to a July 15 chart (Chinese) from the national Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
In Shanghai, the monthly minimum wage for full-time workers increased to 2,740 yuan (US$381.99), from 2,690 yuan, the ministry said. The hourly minimum wage for part-time workers increased to 25 yuan, from 24, the ministry said.
