China’s cities of Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, and Tianjin adjusted their monthly taxable wages for social taxes based on recent average wages in each city, their municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureaus said.
Beijing’s minimum taxable wage per month is 7,162 yuan (US$1,006.83) and its maximum taxable wage per month is 35,811 yuan effective July 1, its bureau said in a notice (Chinese) Sept. 18.
