Four Kentucky Localities updated their occupational tax rates for 2024, all effective Jan. 1.
The city of Bowling Green in Warren County increased its occupational tax rate to 2% from 1.85%. Employers must report separate occupational taxes for the city of Bowling Green and Warren County.
Mercer County increased its occupational tax rate to 1.0%, from 0.45%.
Kenton County decreased its occupational tax rate to 0.6997%, from 0.9097%. The county also eliminated its tax on net profits for businesses in the county. But, employers must still report annual profits to the county.
